The Arizona Lifestyle
Arizona is not just a destination, it's a lifestyle. Let's start with the weather, winters here are spectacular with the average temperature around 67 degrees. And while you will see a few dozen days over 100 degrees in the summer - you know what they say it's a dry heat! And you can always take a day trip to the high country just a couple hours away and escape to a much cooler climate. We have more than 300 days a year of sunshine in the Phoenix/Scottsdale metro.
The Valley of the Sun showcases the absolute rugged beauty of the expansive Sonoran Desert which stretches nearly 10-thousand acres. There are hundreds of miles of hiking trails whether you are a beginner or avid adventurer. In fact, National Geographic ranked Phoenix one of the best cities in America for hiking. .
The ambiance of the wild west is alive and well here with quaint cowboy chic downtowns like Cave Creek and Carefree where it's not uncommon to see folks pull up to a storefront on horse back. But in many of our active adult communities the golf cart has replaced the car as the preferred mode of transportation.
And hello golfers! I mean with nearly 200 courses in the area, your tee time awaits. And then there's the depth of sporting and cultural events, fine dining and food trucks, upscale shopping and swap meets, farmers markets and festivals and some of the best health and wellness facilities in the country, including the Mayo clinic. And all of this is found less than four hours from one of the seven natural wonders of the world - the majestic Grand Canyon.
Some other fun facts…. Every winter about 400-thousand “snowbirds” flock to Phoenix to take advantage of our gorgeous winters and more and more of them decide to make the area home. And guess what - we have no daylight saving time and that means you don't have to worry about falling back or springing ahead. But we do have official state neckwear: the Bolo tie.... who knew!
